Christmas Symbols

The three weeks before Christmas we did Christmas activities.  We talked about symbols that we use during the Christmas season and what they mean.  The first week our themes were trees and stars.  We learned:
  • That trees are the symbol of God, who through every season of our life, remains the same God He always was and always will be.
  • That we decorate with stars to remind us that the wise men followed the star to Jesus.
Here is how we had decorated the classroom for Christmas.

Lights that say Merry Christmas on them.  This was a practice cutting activity.

Rachel and Isaiah made Christmas countdown chains.  They practiced making ABC patterns with the chain.

We made Christmas trees by ordering strips of green paper from smallest to largest.
