Day 95

On day 95 we talked about money.  We counted 100 one dollar bills (fake money).  Then I asked them what they would buy if someone gave them $100.  They had to draw a picture and write what they would buy.  

It is hard to see, but Rachel wrote she would buy 100 barbies.  She is doing great with writing and loves to do it.  She sounds out her words, uses finger spaces and punctuation and rarely asks for help any more.  

Isaiah wrote that he would buy a big "Cars" airplane.  He is doing well with writing too.  He needs more help but he can hear the beginning, middle and ending sounds as he writes. There is no complaining about writing from him as well.

I gave them each a fake $100 bill to go along with this "job".  I thought they would be excited and play with it.  They were not excited about it at all!  I guess only real money is exciting around here. :)
